Post-Mortem examinations are done free of cost. In cases where viscera are to be sent for chemical analysis, jars and wooden boxes are also provided by the department itself free of cost. 60 bodies can be kept in the cold storage chamber that has back-up generator round the clock, along with the cold storage hall for unidentified bodies. 4 post-mortem examinations can be done simultaneously due to the availability of four dissection tables.
